On the 27th of September, the great and the good of the European audio visual industry descended upon London’s Dorchester Hotel for the annual What Hi-Fi? Sound and Vision Awards.
The prestigious awards represent the ultimate seal of approval and a mark of technical excellence.
We’re delighted to announce that our new AXiS XS touchscreen radio scooped the ‘Product of the Year’ prize in the radio category, beating-off strong competition from Pure and Ruark Audio (formerly Vita Audio).
The honour follows our success at the 2011 event, when our first generation AXiS model also received the ‘Product of the Year’ award.
Presenting the award to Revo’s CEO David Baxter, Simon Lucas, What Hi-Fi? Sound and Vision Magazine’s Deputy Editor said: “It was a deserved winner last year, and now they’ve made it even better – the winner of Radio Product of the Year is Revo’s AXiS XS“.
On receiving the award for the second time, Revo’s CEO David Baxter said: “We are absolutely delighted to have picked up the ‘Product of the Year’ award for the second consecutive year. At Revo we live and breath our work, and it’s both gratifying and very flattering for the experts at What Hi-Fi? Sound & Vision to recognise our efforts in this way, especially given the strength of competition in our category.”
The following excerpt is taken from the 2012 Awards issue of What Hi-Fi? Sound and Vision:
“The original AXiS wowed us last year – and picked up an award into the bargain – thanks to its comprehensive feature list, great performance, ease of use and classy design. The new XS clearly had a lot to live up to, and it’s done its forebear proud. It was great last year, and with its new abilities it’s more desirable than ever.”
