Great To Have Eight

Nov 17, 2017

On the 15th of November the great and the good of the European audio visual industry descended upon the ornate splendour of the Grand Connaught Rooms in London’s Covent Garden, for the annual What Hi-Fi? Sound and Vision Awards.

The prestigious awards are the ultimate seal of approval for an audio product, a recognition of innovation and technical excellence. Over the last few years Revo has been fortunate enough to receive a number of What Hi-Fi? ‘Best Buy’ awards, as well as two highly coveted ‘Product of the Year’ accolades.

Following the 2017 event, we are delighted to announce that Revo has received a further two ‘Best Buy’ recognitions, for our SuperConnect and SuperSystem products – winners in the “Best radio £200+” and “Best all-in-one system under £1,000” categories respectively.

In reaching their decision to recognise our SuperConnect table radio, the judging panel said “Another year, another award for Revo’s SuperConnect – making this the fourth year in a row that Revo has picked up an Award in this category. Impressive. It’s not difficult to see why. There aren’t many radios at this price that can go toe-to-toe with the SuperConnect in terms of its design, ease-of-use or sound. It’s a super effort by Revo.”

Turning their attention to the Revo SuperSystem, they said “It seemed like the complete package – a retro-styled exterior disguising an exhaustive list of modern features within, and a sonic performance that doesn’t disappoint. For the second year running, we find ourselves asking „what’s not to love“ about the Revo SuperSystem.

On receiving the awards, Revo’s CEO David Baxter said: “When we started Revo in 2004, all we ever wanted was for one of our products to be given a What Hi-Fi? 5-star review and a little red logo, such was the kudos attached to What Hi-Fi?’s nod of approval. Since then we have been lucky enough to pick up a total of eight What Hi-Fi? awards, a feat that is truly beyond our wildest ambitions. We are a dedicated bunch at Revo and for our efforts to be acknowledged in this way makes all the hard work worthwhile.”
