About Revo

Headquartered in the small market town of Lanark, Scotland and established in 2004, Revo is a multi award-winning designer and manufacturer of high quality digital radio and audio streaming products.

Design and Performance

Our love of design, music and technology informs everything we do. Our products blend the highest design principles with the very latest digital audio technology, the result is a range of products that seek to push the boundaries of modern radio design. Whilst always looking to innovate, we also keep one eye on the past, learning and taking inspiration from the great radio designers of the 20th century. We believe that form should follow function and that attention to detail matters, good design enriches and elevates the user experience.

We believe in the old maxim that if you put quality in, you get quality out. With that in mind we have use partnered with our industry’s foremost technology and component suppliers. Our products mix leading edge technologies with quality materials such as aluminium, real wood veneers and soft-touch plastics. Our radios are assembled in ethically approved and audited facilities in Asia, ensuring that the best possible quality, social responsibility and environmental standards are observed.


Revo is the proud recipient of multiple Red Dot and iF product design awards and the current holder of What Hi-Fi? Magazine’s prestigious ‘Radio Product of the Year’ award for 2012, our second successive triumph, having picked up the same accolade in 2011. During 2013 Which? magazine bestowed their highly coveted BEST BUY award to both our PiXiS and AXiS XS models, with XS receiving the highest score of the year. AXIS XS is also part of the National Museum of Scotland’s permanent collection and can currently be viewed in Edinburgh as part of the museum’s ‘Shaping Our World’ exhibit. Revo products are sold in 20 countries worldwide.

Revo is founded in Lanark, Scotland with the intention of developing the world's first add-on DAB digital radio receiver.

Design and development work begins in March with the target of a Christmas launch.

2005 Image

The Revo In-Car DAB Adaptor is launched to great acclaim and receives the prestigious ‘Car Accessory of the Year’ accolade at the Auto Express Product Honors Awards.

In awarding the accolade, Auto Express said "It's a brilliant solution, and one that opens up new possibilities for in-car entertainment".


2006 Image

The Pico portable DAB radio, Revo’s first ‘domestic’ radio product is released.

A variety of different Pico models have followed and the Pico design has been in uninterrupted production ever since.


2007 Image

Pico Wi-Fi, our first internet radio product is launch, followed soon after by BLIK RadioStation, the world’s first ‘hybrid’ DAB and Internet radio.

Pico design wins a prestigious iF Product Design Award.


2008 Image

Revo receives its first Red Dot Product Design Award (for Pico) followed by a ‘Business Excellence Award’ from Scottish Enterprise for export success.

Revo becomes an Apple MFi licencee and first our products are sold in the Apple Store.


2009 Image

Revo launch the world’s first colour touchscreen multi-format digital radio in the shape of its IKON model.

Our iconic Heritage table radio is released to worldwide critical acclaim.

Heritage wins our third Red Dot Product Design Award


HK 2010 Image

Revo launches its AXiS colour touchscreen radio to rave reviews.

Revo enters the Asia Pacific market with a major launch event in Hong Kong featuring our Heritage multi-format table table radio.


2011 Image

Revo AXiS becomes part of the permanent collection at the Museum of Scotland in Edinburgh and features in their ‘Shaping Our World’ exhibit.

Revo and Monocle magazine collaborate to produce special edition Heritage ‘Monocle Edition’ radio to compliment the launch of Monocle’s M24 radio station.



AXiS becomes the most acclaimed radio of the year with a host of 5 star reviews covering publications from What Hi-Fi? to the Sunday Times.

Revo AXiS wins ‘Radio Product of the Year’ accolade at the What Hi-Fi? Sound & Vision Awards in London, the AV industry’s most prestigious awards event.


2012 Image

AXiS XS wins Revo its second successive ‘Radio Product of the Year’ at the What Hi-Fi? Sound and Vision Awards.

K2 tower radio wins Revo’s fifth straight Red Dot Product Design Award.

Revo products go on sale at MoMA stores in New York and Tokyo.



Revo introduces its acclaimed SuperConnect hybrid radio, the first radio product to feature Spotify's new Connect feature.

AXiS XS wins Revo a second Which Best Buy.

After nearly 10 years, Revo unveils a confident new corporate identity that reflects the brand's design and engineering focus.
